In certain cases, the location of our Spartan Stuffing Box warrants a supplemental water flow to keeping the packing cool and the bearing lubricated. Generally, where the stuffing box is located at the end of a long shaft log or high RPM's are generated by the prop shaft. Our Water-Injected Stuffing Boxes help solve this problem with a stainless steel nipple installed for a 3/8" ID hose. The Spartan stuffing box wrenches come as a set containing one straight and one offset wrench. The offset wrench is specifically designed to aid with adjustment of the stuffing box nuts especially when located in confined areas. The straight wrench is perfect for holding the packing nut while locking the check nut with the offset wrench.
